Video showing the notification player appearing persistently while using spotify
I can't replicate this on two paired Android devices, one running Android 14 ("device A") and one running Android 13 ("device B"). Let me know if I have the exact reproduction steps correct:
Preparation:
1. Ensure KDE Connect is running on both devices
2. Ensure both devices are paired and connected through KDE Connect
3. Ensure spotify app is installed and logged into the same account on both devices
4. Kill (force-stop) spotify app on both devices
Reproduction
1. Open spotify app on device A
2. Start spotify playback on device A, using the app on device A
3. Look at notifications on device A. There is one notification from spotify with media controls, and one notification from KDE Connect saying that device B is connected.
4. Look at notifications on device B. There is one notification from KDE Connect with media controls, and one notification from KDE Connect saying that device A is connected.
5. Open spotify app on device B
6. Look at notifications on device A. There is no change since step 3.
7. Look at notifications on device B. The KDE Connect notification with media controls has been replaced with a spotify notification with media controls.
Note: based on discussion on Telegram, the version of KDE Connect Android this was reported on was 1.30.1. Haven't tried that. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
