The actions menu containing actions like "mark room as read" or "leave the room". So to do anything in the room that was just opened you first have to click that room away which is annoying. In fact I accidentally left a room because of it because I immediately tried to click on the message bar to start typing a message but because of the action menu being there I left the room instead.
