This could allow a smartphone-like workflow, where the user has a top panel with indicators and a tray and they swipe down to open the tray and access settings in it, instead of tapping the arrow.

What tray are you expecting to be opened with this gesture?
Comment 2 Mors Mortium 2024-05-03 20:05:36 UTC
The tray residing in the panel, on the right side, same as the "Application Launcher" gesture opening the launcher that is in the panel, on the left side. It would be like clicking/tapping the upwards arrow, which then turns into a downwards arrow and shows a window called "Status and Notifications", from which individual hidden tray items can be controlled, like "KDE Connect", "Disks & Devices", "Clipboard", "Weather Report" and others.

Got it.
