When I was working on specific project I needed to simplify colors. So I've found posterize/primaries/cartoonize effects. Those were barelly enough and very counterintuitive on practice.

So I've worked with Krita / Gimp for long time and there is addon that adds a lot of effects to the artistic arsenal. 

Let me introduce: G'MIC https://gmic.eu/index.html. 

It has a lot of effects that are SOOOO needed in kdenlive, but those are only applied to the static images.
There are also  ZArt: Qt-based interface for real-time processing of video streaming coming from webcams or video files.

So my proposal is to implement this addon in kdenlive, that will succesfully fill the empty (mostly) niche for artistic effects and effects in general.
