When using Okular to preview stuff like LaTeX, Typst, Markdown etc the Preview is useful. But it is currently quite unpleasant without a reason.

I can imagine there already is a setting to remove that dialog. making it less obtrusive, like displaying a small turning circle in the bottom corner, could also already help, without any setting at all.

Using the latest Okular Flatpak 24.02.2

* this happens when "automatically reload" is enabled

Show hints and info messages

Is the option you want to disable.
Comment 3 Henning 2024-04-21 20:01:26 UTC
A person already told me that setting. But disabling all popups likely causes problems? What if there is something actually useful?

I think making the reload notification a small icon instead would be a better fix. Clicking on the icon could reveal the info.

This is a wishlist for now.
