SUMMARY
Apparently causally, the Plasmashell panel seems to freeze (you can't switch between windows or open the menu) but just right-click it and it works again.

Mmmmh it doesn't seem to be entirely causal. The problem occurs if I launch an app from the menu while if I launch it from the panel it doesn't.

It seems solved in git version of Kwin.
