Description elman 2024-04-17 22:57:32 UTC
SUMMARY
Nothing happens when I try to post screenshot in Slack directly after it was taken in Spectacle.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start Spectacle and disable “Quit after manual Save or Copy”.
2. Make rectangular selection.
3. Either use Ctrl+C or click button Copy.
4. Open Slack and click Ctrl+V.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happened, no image was pasted.

However, when I use Meta+V, select something else and then select screenshot I have taken, I can paste it into Slack.

EXPECTED RESULT
Image should be pasted right away.

Do you have the same problem with Firefox and Chromium? I'm curious if this is a duplicate of bug 485096.

I tried Teams on Firefox, and it behaves the same way as described in this bug.

However, if I take a screenshot, quit Spectacle and then paste, it works just like described in 485096. My default format is AVIF. And I also have 4K, so PNG is so big. So it does seem like a duplicate.
