STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add Calculator widget to panel
2. click on the added widget
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Calculator widget is small. The label of the button below zero is elided in the attached screenshot.

EXPECTED RESULT
bigger widget, no elided label

The default size of the calculator popup is much bigger than what your screenshot depicts. With my system (git master, Qt 6.6.2) I can only reproduce that issue when I manually reduce the size of the popup to the smallest possible size. Did you do that? Or was that really the actual size that the calculator appeared at when you added a new fresh calculator widget to your panel?

I don't remember manually resizing the widget in the past. I removed the widget and added it back to the panel, and now its size is correct.
