Video showing undesired behaviour when launching Dolphin and Konsole, but not when launching KCalc and Kate
I've just noticed what should have been obvious to me, which is that the apps that show the incorrect (icon-only) launch feedback are those that are pinned to the task manager. So if I unpin Konsole, the incorrect launch feedback doesn't occur, and if I pin KCalc, the incorrect launch feedback does occur. I have changed the bug title to match this. Note that the launch feedback problem occurs however the app is launched, whether from the Application Launcher or from the pinned icon. Thanks, can reproduce that. This seems to have been fixed recently (I'm currently running Plasma 6.1.2, but not sure exactly when it was fixed). Right right, there were definitely some changes that would have fixed this. |
