- What I was doing when the application crashed: I tried to launch Digikam to access my photos database, but always crash on launching Digikam & photoshow

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Please provide more information and a GDB backtrace. Without this information we cannot help.
Which digiKam version exactly? Which digiKam package exactly under which Linux distribution (AppImage?, Ubuntu Snap package?)

We need more information here, which digiKam version, which package under which Linux distribution.
Please also try our digiKam AppImage to see whether the problem can be reproduced.
