Seems related to 485210. Hmm, right, just clicking there doesn't set the focus right, only e.g. switching to a non-editor view via going to such a tab does that. Git commit ad9a2ac35fd2a02a85de90a0371c9f516204f758 by Christoph Cullmann. Committed on 18/06/2024 at 20:57. Pushed by cullmann into branch 'master'. keep track of focus for widgets, too M +59 -28 apps/lib/kateviewspace.cpp https://invent.kde.org/utilities/kate/-/commit/ad9a2ac35fd2a02a85de90a0371c9f516204f758 In 25.04.2 this is again/still broken. In fact, now even clicking the tab doesn't switch the focused view for the purposes of actions like Hide Inactive Views, or whether KatePart's actions are shown on the toolbar (which did so back when I originally reported this). The actions that explicitly switch the active split view, like "Next Split View", are the only ways I've found to switch the focused view for these purposes. Meanwhile those actions, like "Next Split View", don't change the keyboard focus when one of the views is a diff view. So one gets weird states where the keyboard acts on one view, but the toolbar acts on another. |
