SUMMARY
after updating nix os KVM vm to kde plasma 6, I noticed that the cursor is duplicated
tried different OS and the issue persist

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. create any Linux distro KVM VM with OpenGL and VirtIO with 3d acceleration
2. install plasma 6 there
3. notice that there are 2 cursors on top of each other, one for the host, and one for the guest

OBSERVED RESULT
there are 2 cursors as said in step 3

EXPECTED RESULT
the guest cursor is only shown

Is it still reproducible with Plasma 6.1.3 or later?

yes, still there even with using the version you said on both host and guest
