When changing the user group using the file properties dialog opened from Dolphin, the dolphin view details do not change - or even indeed opening the file properties dialog again. Doing a refresh (F5 or clicking the appropriate toolbar button) does update the view and the file properties dialog. This should probably be fixed by having any OK on the file properties dialog refresh the view. > Doing a refresh (F5 or clicking the appropriate toolbar button) does update the view and the file properties dialog.
ON FILES, yes. On directories, you have to restart Dolphin.
I can reproduce this issue: Changing a file's group ownership via the properties dialog does make the change but it is not displayed in the properties dialog or in details view (configured to show ownership columns) until Dolphin is refreshed. Changes to file permissions are displayed without needing a refresh Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0 Qt Version: 6.8.0 Graphics Platform: Wayland |
