STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add an app to desktop - I added Elisa music player in my test
2. uninstall the app added to desktop
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
an invalid icon of the uninstalled app remains on desktop

EXPECTED RESULT
remove the icon from desktop after uninstalling the app

I don't think this is feasible for us to do, and if it was, it's not clear it would be desirable, either. People often freak out when files and things are removed automatically. Because every desktop shortcut is something that was manually created, there's an implicit expectation of manual maintenance and cleanup, too.
