Description sashaa 2024-03-26 12:11:35 UTC
SUMMARY
When you change a global theme for example from Breeze to Breeze Dark, the CPU usage goes to 100% and it takes up to a minute or two to change it. This didn't happen in 6.0.1 and only appeared in 6.0.2. When i downgraded plasma-workspace to 6.0.1, the problem went away.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open system settings
2. Change theme

OBSERVED RESULT
System completely freezes for a long time with 100% CPU usage until the theme is applied.

EXPECTED RESULT
Theme takes a few seconds at most to change.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2

Sorry we didn't get to this yet. Is it still happening in Plasma 6.1.4 or newer?

What kind of hardware are you using?
