STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open right sidebar, select tag tree view
2. Drag an image onto this tag, choose "assign this tag to the image" in the popup context menu

OBSERVED RESULT: Tag is not assigned to the image.
EXPECTED RESULT: Tag should be assigned to the image.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS: KDE Neon 22.04, Digikam appimage 20240324.

This has been discussed many times, but the workflow is different.
You have to select the tag(s) first, not the checkbox. Then you can drop onto the Tree View images and the selected tags will be assigned.
