KDE is missing a feature which is available via various GNOME Shell Extension Clipboard Managers, like for example the powerful clipboard manager "Pano" but lacking in KDE's native Clipboard Manager: The ability to show a notification when performing a file operation.

When you copy a file in GNOME, it can show a notification which simply says "Copied 1 file" or "Cut 1 file", which is pretty handy if you ask me. Check out the extension; you will find quality of life improvements which are lacking in KDE's native Clipboard Manager.

Our HIG generally advises against this kind of thing. See https://develop.kde.org/hig/status_changes:

> Minimize unnecessary status messages. Indicate success by visually changing something
> on the screen related to the task that succeeded, not by sending a message saying
> “Task completed.” One exception is for long-running tasks that the user may have forgotten
> about.

I could see us changing the widget to visually indicate success by wiggling the icon, or doing some other kind of animation, but a "[thing] was copied" message isn't recommended, so I don't think we'll do that.
