Please provide more information. Which Qt version do you use on which desktop? We need at least a debug log from the terminal or a GDB backtrace. The problem cannot be reproduced here under Qt-6 and KF-6. Another note, the development of digiKam-8.4.0 has just started, we will test things in the Gitlab repository, which we will eventually undo, this developer version is not intended for productive use. https://www.digikam.org/contribute/ Maik Qt-Version 6.6.2 KDE-Frameworks 6.0.0 Plasma-Version: 6.0.2 I have a dual monitor setting. thanks ! Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! I can“t give you the information you need. But i upload a screenshot that shows a non functional window. For example the font used by the program, but there are many other windows that do not react. Created attachment 168043 [details]

It sounds like a dysfunction coming from your system, not digiKam. Here all work as expected and problem is not reproducible at all. I see that you use Plasma 6. It's not recommended at all. It's not a mature desktop for production. Wait few months before to try again. Go back to the long time stable Plasma 5 distro. It's so far better. Best Gilles Caulier Also i suspect that you use the AppImage bundle. Right ? We never tested the AppImage under Plasma 6. This one is based on Qt5, not Qt6, and incompatibility can be present. Mixing Qt5 and Qt6 is not a good way. Gilles Caulier Ok, I'm here on a pure KF6 desktop and can confirm that the font requester freezes. I'll take a look at it tonight to see if we can do something, but I think it's a KF6 bug. Maik So this is an archlinux packaging problem ? Thanks ! Just as a note, our Qt6/KF6 Windows version is not affected by the QFontDialog freezing. Maik Git commit e9e902e0707d11c8505777b8f382701e4831d415 by Maik Qualmann. Committed on 02/04/2024 at 10:39.
