Haruna doesn't have the ability to downmix audio to stereo (2.1 audio output) from surround sound, e.g. 5.1/7.1 audio.

The lack of this feature, when played on 2.1 audio output hardware results in quiet audio output from surround sound audio output sources.

This would be a very useful feature for laptop use or earphone use, and consequently would be quite a common requirement I'd imagine.

There are a number of other media player applications that contain this feature, vlc and kmplayer are two I can think of straight off the bat.

This may be tied into feature request id 481227, although this specific feature request (downmix to stereo) isn't mentioned there, it is somewhat similar.

I would suggest that this option is added to the audio dropdown menu rather than the settings>audio menu. The reason for this is not all audio sources are surround sound and so this is a per audio source change rather than a blanket audio source change.
