Worse here. I can't see any preview, thumbnail, nothing in Dolphin and GwenView, but Krita can open. SUMMARY *** Dolphin (see what is installed in additional info below) cannot display thumbnails for certain AOM compressed AVIF files (avifenc). Some are displayed but some are not. Gwenview can open them properly and displays thumbnails. Dolphin cannot display thumbnails for such AOM compressed photos. I give you an attatchment as example. Some other compressed AVIF files Dolphin displays properly. Since I have tons of AVIF (AOM) compressed photos all fail to display as thumbs in Dolphin (I made them in KDE 5 and there all was OK. Only KDE6 suddenly stopped supporting them, i.e. Dolphin has no thumbs. Gwenview displays them and has thumbnails). Talk about shared libraries (!) between KDE projects (Gwenview and Dolphin). See what is installed below in additional info. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Get the attatchment 2. Open it in Dolphin 3. No thumbnail OBSERVED RESULT No thumbnail for this AOM compressed photos. (Gwenview OK). EXPECTED RESULT Fix the regression. Make Dolphin be compatible with AOM Compressed AVIFs. Just like in KDE 5.
