SUMMARY
In plasma 6, there is no option to add a keyboard shortcut to switch to last/previous active desktop, which exists in plasma 5.27.
This provides a seamless switching experience from one desktop to another, without a concern for desktop number, grid position, etc.

Eg: Similar to how Alt+Tab switches to previous active window, a desktop switcher is needed, as optionally existed in plasma 5.27

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
System settings > keyboard > shortcuts > kwin : No option to switch between previous desktops (Walk through desktops?).

Instead of using custom kwin scripts (as given in the duplicate bug report thread), is it possible to include this functionality in plasma addons please?
