STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to clipboard options or configure plasma options
2. For "text selection" ; check "only when text is selected explicitely"
3. select text in any application
4. paste with middle click

OBSERVED RESULT
text selection is pasted

EXPECTED RESULT
text selection should not be pasted

I confirm the same behavior on Neon 6.0.2. Marking confirmed hoping a dev can confirm if this is a duplicate of 461155 or needs separate investigation.

I wonder whether this could pose a security issue i.e. users inadvertently pasting a password or other sensitive info which they had not explicitly copied?
