SUMMARY
I suspect the overlay blocks the selection


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Plasma widget config dialog
2. Click About
3. Click GPL-2.0+
4. Select some text
5. Select some text again

OBSERVED RESULT
No text is selected

EXPECTED RESULT
Some text is selected

What's your Qt version? I remember it was working in 6.6.0, but is broken in 6.6.2

Also in, for example Digital Clock -> Time Zones tab, the overlaysheet randomly prevents text selection or even closes the popup entirely (just by clicking, not dragging!)
