Sentry Crash Report:

Description Martin Tlustos 2024-03-12 06:08:56 UTC
The contact part of the google akonadi plugin is broken in general (added contacts don't get synced, working with groups doesnt work etc.), but the bug reported today is the following:

I have several contacts in "my contacts" (and other groups as well) that don't show up in kmail when I type in the address in the TO: field (or any other field).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. start new email
2. type in the beginning of a name where multiple people with the same (first) name are in the google address book. Or type a name that is the only one in the address book.

OBSERVED RESULT
only some of the names are displayed and selectable. Or nothing shows up at all.

EXPECTED RESULT
All names in "my contacts" (or other enabled groups) should show up and be selectable.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Additional info: in akonadiconsole, the google resource is stuck at "changing contact group 'xxx' (0%)".

Also, I have over 2.000 contacts in my google account, maybe the size adds to the problem.

Another observation.
when clicking "Calendar properties", it opens the authentification page. After re-authenticating, reloading, and re-updating, Things seem to become more accurate, e.g. tasks and events are updated etc.
