Description Daan B. 2024-03-11 23:55:16 UTC
Application: plasmashell (6.0.1)

Qt Version: 6.6.2
Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Operating System: Linux 6.7.9-x64v3-xanmod1 x86_64
Windowing System: Wayland
Distribution: Arch Linux
DrKonqi: 6.0.1 [CoredumpBackend]

-- Information about the crash:
Just playing the game, worked for about an hour. Played in past days without any issue, but upgraded to proton 9 because of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458233 and https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458233.

The game is still running in the background somewhere, but not attached to the current plasma-session. I can still hear the music.

Steam is installed via flatpak. The game itself is installed on a ssd that's only used for games and mounts on bootup.

Moving windows, or even just the cursor, between screens causes a lot of lag and framedrops.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX

The reporter is unsure if this crash is reproducible.

I think, with reasonable certainty, i can say that it was my gpu that crashed that caused this to happen. Here is an excerpt of where the problem started. It shows the kernel saying that the gpu crashed and kwin_wayland restarting but failing and the gpu crashing again

Yeah, looks like gpu bug. You could try to report it here or search if someone else has had the same thing: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues
