Hover not showing window previews going between apps instantly

SUMMARY

When hovering over active windows, the window preview *sometimes* "follows" the mouse, showing a "swipe" animation as it goes between active windows. Or it doesn't work at all.

So it sometimes takes a bit longer to show a window preview when hovering between apps.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have at least two active app windows open beside eachother in the icon only task manager.
2. Hover over one application and wait for the window preview to show
3. Now move your mouse to the other application

OBSERVED RESULT

The window preview closes, and it takes some time for the new window preview to show.

Or it sometimes shows a "swipe" animation, but then the window preview closes, before showing up again some time later.

EXPECTED RESULT

The window preview should be instant when hovering between multiple active applications once the preview shows up the first time.
