Description Steve Cossette 2024-03-04 20:33:14 UTC
It's a bit difficult to explain this one. The default KDE setup is to have a bar at the bottom with the application launcher/Discover/System Settings/Spacer/Tray/... right? But let's say you change the way you use your panels, and delete the System Tray widget to recreate it in another panel, notifications from now on will default to the top left for me (Note: I'm on a dual screen setup, and it defaults to the top left corner of my left screen).

Relogging/restarting plasma-desktop does fix this problem, and notifications do bind themselves to the new location of the system tray.

Expected behavior would be to default to the top left corner if there are nothing to bind to, but to bind properly again when a widget is added back.

Thanks!

Can reproduce.

I can reproduce this on my laptop. This issue also occurs when an external monitor with a system tray or notification widget is disconnected from the laptop.
