Description Onur Ankut 2024-03-01 23:27:21 UTC
SUMMARY
System Settings window unable to catch with the speed of the cursor when Global Theme KCM selected. It feels like it's lagging. Screen record is available as an attachment, although I'm not sure how much visible this thing on the video.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select Global Theme KCM from System Settings
2. Resize the window

OBSERVED RESULT
Window resizing lags

EXPECTED RESULT
Window resizing without lag

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
OS: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Single KCM window also lags. (```kcmshell6 module kcm_lookandfeel```)
- I can't reproduce this bug in 5.27 in the same way. On my Kubuntu VM, all customisation KCM's feel like they're lagging but this is not the case with other apps like Dolphin.

This seems related to #445884. I'm not closing it as a duplicate, since I'm not 100% sure these are identical.

This should get improved with Qt 6.9.
