I wasn't using 24.* version of Yakuake when reporting this bug, however on 24.02.0 it is still present. Also, I think it can possibly be related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=480609, I suspect the cause in both cases is Yakuake checking for the space that panels occupy when they are non-hidden and/or floating, not the actual space they occupy when yakuake opens (floating panels stop floating and occupy less space and dodge window panels get hidden) even after update my system to plasma 6.0.3 the issue si still there. for plasma 6.0.2 konsole an yakuake was facing to the same issue. Now only yakuake. i've observed that issue brings/unhides other problems in yakuake: in order to circumvent the erratic behavior of yakuake it is necessary to deprive yourself of this mode. Created attachment 166258 [details] Observable result with another window maximized in the background SUMMARY If yakuake is not in fullscreen mode, and has Height set to 100%, it won't fill the space that is occupied by a panel with visibility mode set to "Dodge windows", even if its already hidden because of other windows on the screen. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Change yakuake settings: Fullscreen to off, Height to 100% 2. Have top and/or bottom panel with visibility mode set to "Dodge windows" 3. Open yakuake dropdown OBSERVED RESULT Yakuake fills only the area that normally would not be occupied by the panels EXPECTED RESULT Yakuake dropdown fills the whole screen SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS OS: NixOS (unstable channel) KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
