SUMMARY
After Upgrading to Plasma 6.0 and logging in to the session, I was greeted with a Black screen and a Mouse cursor. But in the Background everything seemed to work I could launch the terminal with my shortcut and from there I could launch all programs and browse the internet and so on.
But this is kind of a hassle and I would like to use the GUI.

Yes it is still happening. I added my journalctl logs that I took after the update
Comment 4 Nicolas Fella 2024-03-01 19:36:42 UTC
Thanks.

It looks like you have a weird mix of Plasma 5 and 6 installed
Comment 5 matz908 2024-03-01 19:44:36 UTC
Is there a way to fix that? other than a fresh install?
Comment 6 Harald Sitter 2024-03-01 22:59:43 UTC
What's the output of

sudo apt update
sudo apt -o Debug::pkgProblemResolver=true dist-upgrade

I added the output. It seems that there is one package broken. I'm not sure how I should progress now.

Hi. Can you confirm this is no longer an issue. Several rounds of updates have been released since that the packaging has been rectified.
Comment 11 Nate Graham 2024-03-19 18:38:27 UTC
Indeed, and if it's not fixed yet, it's very likely Bug 483163.
Comment 12 matz908 2024-03-19 20:08:59 UTC
I can't confirm that the bug is now fixed, as it annoyed me so much that I made a new installation on my system.

I looked at Bug483163, and it's not the same behavior. My blank screen came up when I was in the session and not in the lock screen.
The lock screen worked fine.
