Description András Manţia 2024-03-01 10:24:57 UTC
SUMMARY
File copy/move progress does not appear in the notifications with Plasma 6.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start to copy or move a large file (like 1-2 GB so it takes some time)
2. A dialog appears
2a. Cancel the move

OBSERVED RESULT
1) The progress is not integrated into the systray notifications as with Plasma 5.
2) After the move is canceled the copy operation still goes on.

EXPECTED RESULT
1) You can anytime check the progress in systray
2) Move is cancelled immediately.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:
plasmashell 6.0.0
dolphin 24.02.0
KDE Frameworks 6.0.0
Qt 6.6.2

If a dialog appears, this means that the Plasma notification server is not running, or has been suppressed by something else. Make sure you don't have the `dunst` package installed and also that Plasma is running. Also, make sure that the app copying the file was launched *after* Plasma started running.
