"QQuickPaintedItem::textureProvider: can only be queried on the rendering thread of an exposed window" Seems relevant.

What distro and version of Plasma 6 are you using?
Comment 3 Marco Martin 2024-03-01 11:48:26 UTC
it might suggest the relevant kio thumbnailers to not be installed? in this case it might be a packaging issue
Comment 4 Sebastian Turzański 2024-03-01 12:20:23 UTC
Opensuse Tumbleweed plasma 6.0

sudo rpm -qa |grep -i thumbna
kdegraphics-thumbnailers-23.08.4-1.2.x86_64
gdk-pixbuf-thumbnailer-2.42.10-1.6.x86_64

btw , elsewhere (eg. dolphin) thumbnails work ok
Comment 5 Sebastian Turzański 2024-03-04 20:36:23 UTC
not 100% sure, now it works and I think it's because I installed kio-extras 24.02 rpm (opensuse tumbleweed)
so definitly packaging issue, although login might be a bit more precise
