SUMMARY

When dragging a widget onto the desktop it shows a "forbidden" emblem next to the cursor, despite when dropping the widget a context menu offers to create eg an icon, a link or whatever.

Cannot reproduce with current git master.

How have you tested it? 

I've noticed that the emblem does _not_ show up, when dragging the icon of an _opened_ application. 
The issue only occurs for closed (not minimized but really not running) apps.

Yes, it works fine for me. Maybe this is another weird VM bug?

Maybe! I close it for now and re-open if I encounter the same issue on bare metal.
