You can force-close an app immediately by hitting Meta+Ctrl+Esc and then clicking on the app window you want to terminate. If you don't do that, then when you try to close an app and it fails, KWin will detect this within 5 seconds or so and offer you to force quit it. This was somewhat broken in Plasma 5 on Wayland, but it works fully in Plasma 6 Wayland. Except I'm running Steam Deck Arch OS. I don't know what it's running or how to update it, Thanks for helping me figure out what happened and how to fix it, as soon as I can figure out how to force the updates. If you're replying by email, a signature line can sneak in unintentionally.
