Nothing obvious sticks out to me. Whatever the problem is likely is in libvlc though, on x11 we simply tell libvlc to render onto a window, the decoding choice is entirely up to libvlc. Yes, It works with VLC. CCing jb maybe he has an idea what could be going wrong here. This will eventually resolve itself with vlc4's upcoming APIs for opengl context sharing I suspect.
