In fact, horizontal scrolling is available through Alt+mouse wheel, but this isn’t listed in the “Configure Keyboard Shortcuts” dialog. It needs to be. Horizontal scrolling with Shift+wheel is totally standard, many people will have it in their muscle memory, and it’s terrible for one application to insist on doing it differently. The very least would be to make it configurable, and the default should absolutely be Shift, not Alt. https://discuss.kde.org/t/is-there-a-way-to-switch-shift-scroll-to-horizontal-in-okular/6173 https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/1d1wein/possible_to_scroll_sideways_on_okular/ Dissatisfaction with this isn’t uncommon apparently. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 384695 *** |
