Description maxi.jarvinen+kde 2024-02-02 19:04:21 UTC
SUMMARY
I could use '?' in face tags in 8.1.0 on Windows, but digiKam crashes without fail when doing the same in 8.2.0, regardless of whether you do it in thumbnails view or preview view. Already confirmed names seem not to be a problem,

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Be on windows, have recognized faces
2. In the people tab, pick one of the unconfirmed faces
3. Try to write '?' as part of the name (pressing Shift and + yields ? on my keyboard)

OBSERVED RESULT
'?' Doesn't render and digiKam crashes.

EXPECTED RESULT
? renders and digiKam functions normally. (as in digiKam 8.1.0)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 19045.3930
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.245.0
Qt Version: 6.6.0 (built against 6.6.0)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
To reiterate, this worked in digiKam 8.1.0

Alright, thank you. Though I immediately encountered another crash from another action, so I'll go ahead and log another one
