STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Backup Status applet with Plasma 6 RC1
2. 
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Backup status applet is completly empty and always shown even though showing is set to show when relevant

EXPECTED RESULT
some message is shown indicating what is going on

I also have an empty applet.

I tried to use the latest applet files from https://invent.kde.org/system/kup but it had the same issue.
