I am experiencing the same issue on Plasma 6.0.1 / Frameworks 6.0.0. The sound settings page only allows selecting high quality after disconnecting and reconnecting the headset. However, I wasn't experiencing this issue on 5.27. I tested this with Discord on Plasma 6.2.4 on two different laptops, and can't reproduce this. I'm pretty sure I had run into this in the past. Setup: Sony WF-1000MX4 Bluetooth earbuds connected to the laptop, using the AAC codec. 1. Go into Discord settings - Voice & Video. Observed that the sound codec for the earbuds switched to mSBC (seen in the sound applet) 2. Exit Discord settings The sound profile automatically switched back to AAC. If anyone affected by this issue can still reproduce it, please reopen this bug report. Thanks! One thing worth noting is that if my headphones are connected to android phone while being connected to PC the same exact problem happenes. Since it did not happen for me in a long time and Im still using old plasma then it would be important to determine if that was the most occuring problem for others. I re-tested, making sure my earbuds were connected to both my laptop and phone. I am still unable to reproduce the bug. WF-1000MX4 earbuds use bluetooth 5.2 which supports which supports multi-stream audio, since my headphones use BL 4.2 its possible that the problem is present on older version of Bluetooth. I dont have other headphones to test on as of now. |
