This is with a touchscreen, right? I cannot reproduce the issue with my built-from-source Plasma 6 Wayland on top of Fedora 39 with Qt 6.6.0. *** Bug 480364 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > This is with a touchscreen, right? I cannot reproduce the issue with my > built-from-source Plasma 6 Wayland on top of Fedora 39 with Qt 6.6.0. Yes, I'm experiencing this issue on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga with a touchscreen. I'm using the KDE-unstable repository, with the configurations as previously mentioned. The issue consistently occurs on Arch Linux. I'll attempt to reproduce the issue on another laptop and with Fedora to see if it persists under those conditions (if I got time the next couple of days). Additionally, I'm open to sending a video demonstration if you think that would be helpful in diagnosing the problem. Please let me know if you need any specific logs or system information as well. Maybe this info of my duplicate bug can help to reproduce it: Steps to reproduce: 1. Have Plasma 6.0 RC1 under arch linux on a tablet (Mine is the MS Surface Go 2) 2. Have multiple Workspaces (I have 1x4) and be in the first 3. Detach keyboard to enter touch mode 4. Three-finger-swipe down once or three-finger-swipe up twice to enter the desktop grid view 5. Tap on the second workspace to enter it 6. Wait a bit What happens: 5. The workspace indicator in the panel says that I am still in workspace 1 even though I am in WS2 (proven by the ability to three-finger-swipe to the right and switch to WS1) 6. Plasmashell crashes What should have happened: 5. The workspace indicator correctly reports being in WS2 6. No crash The crash can be reproduced every time. Tammes, I can't reproduce that issue either, but it seems like something separate from what's reported here. Can you submit a new bug report for it? Thanks! The backtrace looked identical to me, so I figured it is the same bug. But sure, I can make a separate one if that helps. (In reply to Tammes Burghard from comment #6) > The backtrace looked identical to me, so I figured it is the same bug. But > sure, I can make a separate one if that helps. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=480602 You're right, the backtrace does look identical. I guess the root cause is the same and you've found multiple ways to trigger it. *** Bug 480602 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I just upgraded to the RC2 and this seems to be fixed |
