Description gigastarcraft2 2024-01-13 14:54:52 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Randomly or sometimes when opening a link from a different app the browser starts freezing when you open a new tab.
2. I am reporting this because you can "reset" it by restarting a plasma shell (killall plasmashell + kstart plasmashell). Therefore it can be connected to KDE Plasma and not only Mullvad Browser's fault. Although no other browser I use has this issue (firefox, ungoogled chromium, falkon)

OBSERVED RESULT
Browser randomly freezes when you open a new tab.

EXPECTED RESULT
No freezing.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Artix Linux 6.6.9
KDE Plasma Version: KDE 5.27.10
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.113.0
Qt Version: 5.15.12

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Ok, I checked once more and this time resetting a plasmashell did not help with the issue.

I would be very surprised if this isn't an issue in the app itself. Since there's no indication otherwise I'll close this bug report. I'd recommend asking for help at https://discuss.kde.org if needed.

I noticed that logging out and then in solves this. Issue persis with KDE Plasam 6.0.1. Now, do you still think it might be connected to KDE and not to the app?

Yes.
