1. You have the primary option to add names in the People sidebar 2. You can deactivate the display of all face markers, then only the one that is in the mouse focus will be displayed. I have just tested variant 2 again; even several overlapping faces can be selected individually and the names entered without any problem. Maik Actually, I was maybe hoping for a kind of middle ground: show the rectangles, but show the edit field only when hovering over the rectangles (and the space between rectangle & edit field so you can actually reach the edit field). This way, you would instantly see which objects are detected as faces, but with lots of faces the edit fields would not overlap the image. Maybe we could even fade out the rectangles some seconds after the last move of the mouse cursor and show them again when the user uses the mouse again. This would remove the need to keep toggling between showing and hiding them to see what is behind all those edit fields ... Just some thoughts :-) |
Created attachment 164849 [details] Screenshot with overlapping face tag edit fields SUMMARY It is best to see the attachment. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create photo with many faces close to each other 2. Start face detection 3. Enable faces editor to label the faces OBSERVED RESULT Face editor fields overlap each other. It is not possible to close them except by marking them as ignored or deleting them, which is not what I intend. I want to label all, but I also need to see which editor field belongs to which face rectangle. EXPECTED RESULT Editor fields should not overlap, or (at least) if the mouse clicks on a face rectangle, all non-related editor fields should be hidden. Or (perhaps better), the edit fields can be made movable by dragging with the mouse (possibly Ctrl-click or something) so you can disentangle them if needed.
