After updating from Plasma 6 beta 2 to Plasma 6 Beta 3 I was not able to start plasma anymore. when trying via SDDM I was thrown back to the SDDM login screen and when trying with startplasma-wayland I got the following error:

Error: could not determine $DISPLAY
Error: Can not contact kdeinit5!
org.kde.startup: "kdeinit5_shutdown" QList() exited with code 255
startplasma-wayland: Shutting down...
startplasmacompositor: Shutting down...
startplasmacompositor: Done.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Plasma 6 Beta 2 on Arch Linux
2. Update to Beta 3
3. Restart
4. Observe crash

Only happens on wayland, X11 works fine! And sorry for the confusion, what I was refering to as Beta 3 is just the update the happened between the 10th and 11th of January UTC

Arch packaging of kde-unstable is currently broken/incomplete. Please try again in a few days
