I d&d some files in Dolphin from the android phone (via MTP) and by mistake selected Move operation instead of copy, so I stopped the operation in the progress notification popup. This resulted in 0 byte files on the PC while the files from the phone were deleted with no (easy or at all) way to recover them.

OpenSuse Leap 15.5, the "official" KDE repositories , 23.08. 
Reproducing was as I wrote: plug the phone, move the files, cancel the operation.

With 24.0.2 I cannot reproduce, but that has other issues, like move cannot be cancelled at all. Using Cancel keeps copying the file until the end, but it will at least not delete the original.

Thanks for the update. The not cancelling is a separate problem, please file a separate bug for it.
