Fixed in 8.3.0 with Bug 477871 Install the pre-version avaialble here : https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Crash, after type the first letter of the name. No list of names is shown. Crashing also for me after typing the first letter, which makes the software very difficult to use. Workaround is to draw the rectangle (or all rectangles on all pictures) and then go under the Face tab to assign the unknown faces. In this tab, typing the name doesn't crash the application for me. By the way, this workaround might also become my favorite process because it allows to assign more quickly the faces by confirming all instances of the latest assigned people (instead of having to type for every face in picture mode). Crashing for me too. Just as I start typing the name while in image. If i am using the face tagging system, it doesnt crash. Using 8.3.0 ? (In reply to caulier.gilles from comment #5) > Using 8.3.0 ? Set an face rectangle 3. Fill in a name in the field "Who is this person" 4. Confirm the name by "return" or by mouse-click OBSERVED RESULT digikam crashes every time (!) after confirming the person's name by "return" or by mouse-click! EXPECTED RESULT The face-tag should have been accepted and added to the database.
