STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Info Center from Application Launcher
2. Check Basic Infomation -> About this System page
3. Check the banner above

OBSERVED RESULT
The banner showed "Ubuntu 12"...

EXPECTED RESULT
instead of "Ubuntu 23.10"

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.5.0-14-generic

This information comes from the file /etc/os-release. Can you paste the contents of that file here? I suspect it's just wrong for some reason. If it's not, then that will be something interesting to investigate! :)

I updated my Ubuntu to 24.04 recently, but the problem continues.

You have some debian package installed that overrides the os-release file.
