Description Aleksandar 2023-12-21 11:57:17 UTC
SUMMARY
Both KDE connect and GSConnect do not appear to work if my laptop is connected to the network with a wired connection. Over wifi, my phone is detected immediately, but over LAN it is not possible to connect. Not even typing in the IP address helps. The phone is reachable from my computer, and running nc -vz 192.168.1.20 1716 has the output

Ncat: Version 7.93 ( https://nmap.org/ncat )
Ncat: Connected to 192.168.1.20:1716.
Ncat: 0 bytes sent, 0 bytes received in 0.31 seconds.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect laptop to ethernet and disable wifi
2. Try to connect to phone

OBSERVED RESULT
The device is not available to pair, and if it was paired prior over the Wifi, it does not connect.

EXPECTED RESULT
The device appears and connects as intended

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Fedora 39, everything is installed from the RPM repos

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
My laptop is a Thinkpad T14 G3, both the LAN port on the device and the LAN port of the USB-C docking station have the same issue.
