Still reproducible on Dolphin Version 24.02.2 If you want to try the initial folder where Dolphin opens, you have to click Apply first. If you just click OK to save & dismiss the settings window, your change will be ignored (proof, just open the settings window again, and you'll see the startup folder locations hasn't changed). I couldn't reproduce anymore the same behavior with the "Switch between panes with tab key", as originally stated in my initial comment. Changes to this setting seem to be working fine now, and are taken into account by either clicking OK or Apply. Confirmed on 24.02.2 Still reproducible on 24.05.0 |
Created attachment 164294 [details] screen-recording SUMMARY Changes to some settings like Startup folder and use Tab key to switch between panes, seem to only be remembered when clicking the "Apply" button first. When just clicking OK, they are ignored. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. create a test dir in your home, e.g. myDir 2. set Dolphin to use myDir as the startup folder instead of the one currently set, then confirm and close the Configure Dolphin window by using the OK button 3. close and reopen Dolphin OBSERVED RESULT Dolphin opens the previously set Startup dir EXPECTED RESULT Dolphin should open myDir SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20231217 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.113.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 Kernel Version: 6.6.6-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840U w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 30,5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: Framework Product Name: Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen 7040Series) System Version: A7 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Works fine when clicking Apply instead of OK
