Plasma 6 Wayland with everything KDE built from git master.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch Spectacle and take a screenshot
2. Click "Copy" to copy the image data to clipboard
3. Launch Dolphin
4. Click Clipboard icon in System Tray
5. Find the entry for the image data (should be the top item) and drag it to the Dolphin window

OBSERVED RESULT
The Klipper popup closes and nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT
Dolphin asks me to give the image data a name and tell it an image format; same thing that happens when I paste the image data rather than dragging and dropping it.

I can't do this in Plasma 5 either. I didn't even know this was a possible thing.

Can reproduce and confirm on Plasma 6 Wayland

This was a klipper bug that's now fixed in Plasma.
I won't bother finding the version given the names of the people CC'd
