When I open a picture in Gwenview and than want to copy/move it to another folder using the copy/move buttons in the sidebar, this opens the filepicker to choose the destinatinon folder and it fills in the file name, but without the file extension. So I have to manually add ".jpg" (for example) to the file name every time to ensure that the copied/moved file keeps the same full file name.

This is on the Flatpak version of Gwenview, not sure if that makes a difference.

Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with Gwenview 25.08.0?
